Volkswagen
Volkswagen AG (Volkswagen in German) is a Wolfsburg, Germany-based automaker and the core of the Volkswagen Group, one of the world's four biggest automakers. In 2019, it ranked ninth in the Fortune Global 500. Volks means citizen in German and Wagen in German means car, the full name means the car of the people, so it is often referred to as VW for short. It was translated as Fusi automobiles in Taiwan, while Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland translates as Volkswagen or Fushi automobiles, which means people's car. The entire automotive group industry produced and sold more than 9.07 million vehicles in 2012, while the Volkswagen brand produced and sold more than 5.74 million vehicles.
